Queenie Broughton passed 18th April 2008 aged 90 years, retired wages clerk. Living in Moortown at time of death after many years in Armley. Queenie was one of thirteen, mother of two Cicely Anne and Janet Elizabeth, grandmother to Lee, Simon, Sheena, Rosanne, Sara and Mairi, great grandmother to Chevy, Hayleigh, Neesha, Kateland, Callum and of course Finlay. Died tragically after illness in St James Hospital, Leeds.
Queenie was my nan, she was always there for me, with a cuddle and a smile whenever i needed it. She lived a good life helping others and the community in which he lived in. Her bakng was second to none, especially her rotten pastry!! In the later years life was sometimes difficut for nan and those around her, but one thing that never altered was the way that she loved her family especially the little ones.
Nan will always be in my heart and my mind and she will be pleased to know the reason I conduct my life like i do; MISS YOU NAN X X X X
What a wonderful lady
i didn't know Queenie for long in regards to her age but she was a wonderful lady whose passing has left a huge whole in the lives of the people she knew and loved, most importantly Rosanne.
